Thanksgiving Weekend Activities at The Lake of the Ozarks!!

The Christmas season is here, which means lots of fun activities to take the entire family to here at the Lake of the Ozarks. Thanksgiving weekend really is the big kick off for most of these events and the best part is most of these activities are very friendly to the budget as well. In our last blog we brought you several great places to take your family for a great Thanksgiving Day dinner. This time we are going to bring you several events going on here at the Lake this Thanksgiving Day weekend (besides the crazy shopping) that will be great for the entire family. There are multiple 5k Turkey Runs (to help justify that extra large meal of the day), carriage rides, bonfires, and so much more. You will not want to miss the chance to get out of the house and see these marvelous attractions. Next week we will highlight some charitable events and programs you can support, and be sure to check out our new Pinterest board for more Lake Area events.

TAN-TAR-A has anything you could want to do with your family on Thanksgiving. They will have a buffet served from 11am-5pm, and reservations are required. After dinner there will be a Bonfire sing-a-long with complimentary beverages served and then Santa will turn on the Christmas lights at 6:30pm. Then Santa will be available for pictures until 8pm, and the photo packages start at just $8.00! Trust me your kids will not want to miss out. End the night with a Wild West comedy show and a tram ride around the resort to see the lights. If the kids are not worn out yet, take them to the Cosmic Bowling alley for $3.00 games plus shoe rentals till 11pm. There are many more activities Friday and Saturday as well, so be sure to follow the link below to see what else TAN-TAR-A has to offer. If you are feeling stuffed come join in the 5K Turkey Run at 9am and the best part is the entry fee is only a non-perishable food item that will be donated to families in need. There is truly something for the entire family. Make sure you come out to TAN-TAR-A and check it out.
